Frequently
Asked Questions
Are you
the Post Office?
No, we are Netspan Group Educational Testing Services.
Our mission is to provide the most comprehensive, up-to-date,
test-preparation and career guidance services to individuals
seeking secure employment with the U.S. Government.
Where are the jobs available?
Typically you are placed in a position within 30 miles
of where you live.
Am I guaranteed a job?
No, we do not guarantee any jobs. All applicants seeking
employment with the U.S. Postal Service are required
to pass the Postal Battery Exam with a score of at
least 70% to even be considered for a job interview.
You are only allowed to take the exam once a year,
so it is very important that you prepare in advance.
Our registration package will help you score higher
on the exam guaranteed.
What's on the test?
There are 4 separately timed sections, testing you in
memory, number sequencing, coding and verbal comprehension.
When will the test be given?
You will be notified by mail once you follow the instructions
that are included in your registration packet.
Where do I take the exam?
The exam will be given at a postal facility in your area.
Simply follow the instructions included in the registration
package we send to you, and then you will be contacted
with the date, time and location of the exam.
I called my local Post Office and they said they weren't
hiring?
Policy prohibits local branches from discussing positions
with candidates. The correct procedures to follow are
included in our registration package, along with a list
of all the positions currently available in your area.
Why doesn't the Post Office support or recommend your
company?
The Post Office does not endorse any company who provides
assistance to candidates taking their exam. The reason
they give the exam is to determine how good a candidate
you are. Candidates who use our materials score much
higher on the exam and it makes the candidate appear
better than they would otherwise. The Post Office feels,
therefore, that they are not getting a true reading of
the candidate.
Why did the USPS website not have a position listed
in my area but you claim I can register for the exam
in my area?
Positions come and go frequently, and are only posted
for 5 days, so it's best to check back at least once
a week. Registering for our study package in advance
of announced openings is a good idea because it assures
that you will have enough time to prepare for the exam
when a position does become available.
Does the Post Office give preferential treatment to
veterans?
Veterans receive 5 to 10 additional points on their exam
score, depending on the status of the discharge.
How long does it take to get my test results?
You receive your grade in the mail within 2 weeks.
